Investing in Homeschool

Good evening,
As some of you may not know, our family lives on a very tight budget. Eating out is a luxury in which we seldom partake. Homeschooling five rowdy children can often times lead to parental disappointment when you see that one particular item you really want your children to have access to, but simply cannot afford it. As a parent and teacher, it weighs heavy on my mind. And being the Scorpio that I am, I become obsessed with the idea until I find a way to make it happen (or as close to the original as possible). I surf Pinterest for ideas, shop at yard sales and flea markets, and I am even on the lookout for businesses that are liquidating for general office supplies, just to save a little money. What I did not realize is that you can invest in your home-school without breaking the bank.

Good afternoon lovely readers!

Sitting in the computer lab between classes today, I discovered something. Of course, it's nothing new, but I felt it necessary to discuss it and thus, the cause of this blog post:

One day you wake up feeling fantastic, ready to take on the world with your awesome homeschool mom skills. The next day, you are fatigued, tired, restless, bored, and just about on the verge of burnout. But you do not have to become a victim!

How many times in our walk through parenthood do we tell our children that if something is bothering us, to talk about it, find a way to deal or cope with it, or remove themselves from the situation. In my years of parenting, had I received a nickel for each time I'd said those phrases, I certainly wouldn't be worrying about my son's Chromebook that just recently went on the fritz! But I can tell you, I wouldn't take nary a penny for those words. Because in the last 3/4 of a year, I myself have learned a great deal from those words. You just simply will not believe how I learned this!
